Birth Control Pills in UAE and Planning for a Brighter Future Here is How to do it!
Birth control pills are available over the past decades from pharmacies, hospitals and clinics in the UAE; a prescription was needed in Abu Dhabi while no prescription was reportedly required to purchase them from Dubai and northern emirates.
Yasmin Tablet is a combination birth control pill which contains two active ingredients: drospirenone and ethinylestradiol. In combination, these hormones act to prevent pregnancy by several mechanisms. The suppression of ovulation is one of the principal activites of Yasmin. In the typical case, a woman’s ovaries release one egg per month as part of her menstrual cycle. Drospirenone + ethinylestradiol The hormones in drospirenone and ethinylestradiol (a synthetic version of the female sex hormone oestrogen) are similar to those made by the ovaries, where they regulate the activity of ovulation (release of an egg from the ovary).
Yasmin also changes cervical mucus, making it harder for sperm to reach the uterus. This difference in the texture of the cervical mucus makes it more difficult for sperm to pass into the cervix and through to uterus. Ethinylestradiol, the estrogen in Yasmin is an artificial form of oestrogen and it not only decreases the thickness of the lining but also prevents its building up in the first place. That means a fertilized egg has a lower chance of implanting and growing into an embryo. Hence, periods tend to become scantier and discouraged from supporting a pregnancy. Yasmin birth control for contraception is effectively made possible by these methods. Apart from preventing pregnancy, Yasmin may have additional health benefits including making the menstrual cycle more regular and decreasing the amount and pain of periods in some women.
